This position can be based in: Panama, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua or Peru


Regional Programme Development and Quality (PDQ) Officer



The Regional PDQ Officer will contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of high-quality programmes and evidence-based approaches in accordance with Save the Children’s regional priorities. The post-holder will provide support to the regional and country offices in the Latin America and Caribbean Region to:

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and development across the region
  • Support development and implementation of regional programmes and initiatives


In order to be successful you will bring/have:


  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • Evidence of analytical ability.
  • Experience in research, data collection, curation and presentation of information.
  • Experience in providing programme support, experience of working within a complex, matrix organisational structure, with knowledge in management and learning.
  • Report writing, editing and translating expertise.
  • Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including
    rights-based approaches
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Culturally sensitive, with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including
    listening, influencing and negotiation.
  • Fluent English and Spanish (French a plus), with high level English writing skills
