Race for Survival 2014

Tuesday 18 November 2014

Save the Children organized in November, for the second consecutive year, the Race for Child Survival and Development, a global initiative part of the “Every One” Campaign which aims to raise awareness on the prevention of infant mortality and contribute to the Millenium Goal number four.

The race was part of the main activities to celebrate the National Week for Prevention and Care of Premature Births, considered as one of the main causes for neonatal deaths in El Salvador.

The activity took place in the National San Rafael Hospital, where children who were born prematurely and had benefited for the program for 4 years participated. Medical staff from the Hospital and other relevant authorities in national health participated as well.
