Tuesday 9 December 2014

"First Steps to Success" is the main program in our Country Office, financed by sponsorship funds. It proposes and implements a group of actions and strategic services that support children to achieve their full development, since pregnancy period and up to adolescence.

It starts with an infant and maternal health program, an early childhood development stimulation strategy, continues with a support on the transition to basic education and complements with actions on school health and nutrition, child protection and adolescent development.

For year 2013, more than 430,000 children and adolescents actively participated in the intervention and over 460,000 adults were also benefited. Save the Children implemented the program in over 150 communities nation wide.
